Star Rafiee Bandary
I’m a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Toronto, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Design in Material Art & Design at OCAD University. My practice moves between photography, ceramic, jewelry, mold-making, and found-object design — often rooted in personal memory, cultural identity, and the quiet poetry of everyday life.
Whether I’m casting a pair of feet in plaster, hand-printing photographs in the darkroom, or curating thrifted objects into small art walls, I’m drawn to materials and moments that feel overlooked but deeply felt.
Originally from Iran, I often pull from Persian traditions and domestic narratives — blending craft, storytelling, and experimentation in ways that are both personal and tactile. I believe in slowness, in sentiment, and in the beauty of holding something handmade.
